Saudi Arabia Demands Action from Iraq Over Drone Attacks

Saudi Arabia has called on Iraq to take measures to prevent its territory from being used for attacks against the kingdom, according to a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry. The ministry condemned drone attacks launched by Iran-backed militias from Iraqi territory as 'reprehensible' and threatened to exercise 'its right to respond to the sources of the aggression.'

The kingdom's air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, the ministry said.

Riyadh stressed that it will not tolerate attacks on its security and sovereignty and urged the Iraqi government to take necessary measures to prevent its territory from being used as a 'launching point' for aggression.
