Saudi Arabia has intercepted and destroyed several drones launched from Iraqi territory that attempted to target oil facilities in the Eastern Province and the Riyadh region, according to Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

The drones were intercepted over the past several hours, with Al-Maliki stating that 'terrorist attacks originated from Iraqi territory and were carried out by Iranian-backed terrorist militias.'

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the drone attacks in the strongest terms and reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to protecting its security and sovereignty.

The ministry also called on the Iraqi government to take necessary measures to prevent its territory from being used as a launching point for attacks against Saudi Arabia, stating that such steps are essential to preserving regional security.
