Saudi Arabia Issues All-Clear After Fourth Alert in Clashes with Houthis
Saudi Arabia's civil defense authorities issued an all-clear on Thursday after declaring an emergency alert in the southwestern province of Khamis Mushait for the fourth time in 24 hours.
The alert was due to clashes with Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi group, which has been escalating its attacks on Saudi national assets and infrastructure. The coalition said at least 73 people were wounded in four southern Saudi cities, including Khamis Mushait, in recent Houthi attacks.
The Houthis militant group claimed to have attacked an airbase in Khamis Mushait and oil infrastructure in nearby cities, marking one of the biggest attacks on Saudi Arabia since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran in February. The coalition said the Houthis continued their attacks on Wednesday.
