Saudi Arabia Restores East-West Oil Pipeline Capacity After Iran Conflict Attacks
Saudi Arabia has restored full capacity on its East-West oil pipeline to 7 million barrels per day, according to the country's energy ministry. This comes after a series of attacks during the Iran conflict disrupted operations at key oil and gas facilities.
The strikes affected output at several sites, including the Manifa oilfield, where production had been reduced by around 300,000 bpd. Work is ongoing to restore full output at the Khurais facility, which was hit by attacks reducing Saudi capacity by a further 300,000 bpd.
The ministry said that affected volumes have been recovered from the Manifa oilfield and operational capacity has been restored on the East-West Pipeline. The quick recovery is expected to enhance 'reliability and continuity of supplies to local and global markets.'
