Saudi Arabia Strikes Back Against Houthi Attacks in Yemen

Saudi Arabia has struck back against Houthi attacks in Yemen, its heaviest assault in years. The rapid exchange of fire comes after the collapse of a four-year truce in July, amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran.

The Houthis fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Saudi targets, including Abha International Airport, King Khalid air base, and facilities belonging to Aramco. An energy ministry source confirmed several energy sector facilities were targeted, causing fires and temporary shutdowns at oil sites.

At least 73 people were injured in the Houthi attacks, with Saudi officials vowing to respond. The Houthis accused Riyadh of an attack on a prison that killed 11 people and left 20 inmates missing.
