Saudi Arabia Targets Houthis After Najran Province Attack
Saudi Arabia has warned of intensified attacks on Houthi forces after they struck the Najran province in its southern region, causing civilian casualties. According to a report from The Guardian, the Saudi-led military coalition supporting Yemen's government will continue taking measures to protect civilians.
Maj General Turki al-Maliki, spokesperson for the coalition, stated that the Houthis had indiscriminately shelled civilian areas in Saudi Arabia, injuring 11 people, including a four-year-old child. The WTI Oil price remains near $77.50, holding onto Thursday's strong recovery move.
The escalating conflicts inside the Middle East region are prompting fears of prolonged oil supply disruptions, which could keep global inflation expectations anchored.
