Saudi Arabia Teams Up with France on €6-Billion Dragon Ball Z Theme Park
France and Saudi Arabia have teamed up to build a massive €6-billion manga-themed amusement park near Paris. The project, inspired by Dragon Ball Z, will be one of Europe's largest theme park developments and is expected to create around 22,000 jobs.
The idea was born after French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discovered their shared enthusiasm for the Japanese franchise during a visit in 2025. The project will be financed by Saudi entertainment and investment group Qiddiya as part of its efforts to diversify the kingdom's economy beyond oil.
Construction is expected to take several years, with no opening date set yet. French officials see the project as evidence that France remains a magnet for foreign investment.
