A high-level delegation from Iraq met with Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman in Riyadh on Thursday to discuss shared defense issues and drone attacks allegedly carried out from Iraqi soil.

The Saudi airstrikes targeting pro-Iran militias within Iraq have been a point of contention between the two countries, with Riyadh accusing groups like Kataib Hezbollah and the Badr Organization of being behind recent attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure.

Bin Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting Iraq's security and stability, stating that 'Iraq will remain a dear neighbor to us, bound to its brotherly government and people by ties of brotherhood, solidarity, and mutual support.'
