Saudi Aramco Facility Hit by Fire in Jizan

A fire broke out at dawn on August 9th, 2026, within a facility belonging to the Saudi Aramco refinery in Jizan.

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Energy confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the incident.

The cause of the fire was not specified, but it is the latest in a series of attacks on oil facilities in the region. The Houthi rebels in Yemen have previously claimed responsibility for such attacks, as have Iranian-backed militias in Iraq.
