Saudi Aramco's Jazan Facilities Hit by Second Attack in a Month

Saudi Aramco's oil facilities in Jazan have been hit by another attack, just one month after a previous strike disrupted production at the refinery. The Financial Times (FT) reported that two people familiar with the matter stated the extent of the damage was still being assessed.

The latest attack is said to be similar in scale to the previous incident, which temporarily halted production at the 400,000-barrel-per-day refinery and associated energy infrastructure near the Yemeni border. Saudi Aramco has not commented on the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Jazan is a key location for oil production in Saudi Arabia, hosting one of the company's major refineries. The previous attack on August 7th temporarily disrupted operations at the refinery, but the full extent of the damage from the latest incident remains unclear.
