Saudi Crown Prince Seeks Egypt's Backing Against Houthi Attacks

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi in Cairo to discuss the growing threat of Houthi attacks on Saudi oil shipping and infrastructure.

The Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, have been targeting Saudi vessels in the Red Sea, disrupting global oil supplies and driving up prices.

Saudi Arabia's biggest pipeline was damaged in an attack last week, forcing it to shut down for repairs and reducing oil exports by several million barrels a day.

The Houthi advances have also led to a surge in fighting in Yemen, with over 500 people killed in the past week alone and thousands more displaced.
