Saudi Crude Oil Production Rises 5.6% to Record High in 2025
Saudi Arabia's crude oil production rose significantly in 2025, according to the Oil and Gas Statistics report by GASTAT. The country produced 3.46 billion barrels of crude oil, a 5.6 percent increase from the previous year. This growth was accompanied by a 6 percent rise in exports to 2.35 billion barrels.
Domestic consumption of crude oil, however, decreased by 6.7 percent to 155.4 million barrels. The production of refined petroleum products also saw an increase, totaling 991.5 million barrels in 2025. Gas oil/diesel production rose by 6 percent to 432.2 million barrels, while gasoline production increased by 1.6 percent to 242.0 million barrels.
Exports of refined petroleum products exceeded 541 million barrels, with gas oil/diesel accounting for the largest share at 45.7 percent. Meanwhile, imports of refined petroleum products totaled 129.6 million barrels, with fuel oil making up the largest share at 56.3 percent.
