A $7 billion manga-themed amusement park inspired by 'Dragon Ball Z' is set to be built near Paris, France. The project, announced during a visit by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the French capital, will create around 22,000 jobs and form part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to diversify its economy beyond oil.

The park, which will be one of Europe's largest theme park developments, will be financed by Saudi entertainment and investment group Qiddiya. The idea was born after French President Emmanuel Macron and the Saudi crown prince discovered a shared enthusiasm for 'Dragon Ball Z' during Macron's visit to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

The project's financing is estimated at $7 billion (6 billion euros), with construction expected to take several years. No opening date has been set, but French officials cast the Dragon Ball Z project as evidence that France remains a magnet for foreign investment.
