A second supertanker has appeared at Saudi Arabia's main oil export terminal in the Persian Gulf, as satellite images indicate that loadings may be increasing.

The tanker was spotted moored at one of Ju'aymah's single-point moorings on Thursday, part of the Ras Tanura oil export complex. The vessel is a very large crude carrier (VLCC), capable of loading approximately 2 million barrels of crude.

This sighting comes as Saudi Arabia faces threats to its alternative shipping route through the Red Sea, which has prompted concerns about potential disruptions to oil exports.
