Saudi Oil Pipeline Hit by Drones Launched from Iraqi Territory
A key Saudi Arabian oil pipeline has been targeted by drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory. Iraq's government confirmed the origin of the attack, which was carried out on September 13.
Saudi Arabia temporarily shut down the pipeline but announced that it would not retaliate against Iraq. Instead, it gave Baghdad time to take action and address the situation.
The incident has put pressure on Iraq's government as it faces a deadline to disarm certain militias, including Kataib Hezbollah, by September 30.
