Saudi Oil Pipeline Hit by Projectiles in Suspected Drone Attack

A key oil pipeline system in Saudi Arabia was struck by projectiles on Thursday, triggering fires at pumping stations, according to US officials.

The East-West Pipeline, which carries crude from Saudi Arabia's eastern oil-producing region to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, is believed to have been hit by drones originating from Iraq.

Satellite imagery showed extensive fire damage at one station and a separate blaze sending up thick black smoke at another.
