Saudi Oil Tanker Attacked by Houthi Group near Yanbu Port

The Houthi group claimed to have used a ballistic missile in the attack, which they said was part of their decision to stop Saudi-linked vessels from using the Red Sea. However, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) described the weapon as an 'unknown projectile' and did not confirm the type of vessel or the flag it flew.
The incident comes after the Houthis announced a blockade on Saudi-linked vessels in the Red Sea last month, with the group claiming attacks on Saudi ships and energy facilities since then. The Saudi authorities have not confirmed these claims.
