A Saudi oil tanker, NCC Massa, was attacked in the Red Sea on the 24th local time. The vessel sustained minor hull damage but continued its voyage to its scheduled destination without any casualties.

Saudi Arabia's Public Transport Authority criticized the ongoing attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, stating that they violate international laws and conventions guaranteeing maritime navigation safety as well as the security of merchant ships and crews.

The Houthi rebels in Yemen declared a full maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia as a retaliatory measure. They claimed to have carried out a military operation targeting two Saudi oil tankers on the 23rd, although the official did not mention who was responsible for the attack on NCC Massa.
