Saudi Oil Tankers Attacked in Strait of Hormuz

Two Saudi oil tankers were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz while leaving the waterway, according to shipping intelligence and tracking firms Marisks and Kpler. The incidents occurred within minutes of each other late Monday.

The tankers, which were carrying two million barrels of Saudi crude each, had loaded their cargo at the Juaymah terminal during the previous week. They were traveling outbound through the Strait when they were struck by unknown projectiles.
