Saudi Production Boosts Stabilizes Oil Prices Amid Iran Sanctions
The Iran war did not cause oil prices to skyrocket as many had predicted. One reason for this was the increased production of oil by Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries.
According to a DW News report, Saudi Arabia's oil production rose by 300,000 barrels per day in July, helping to offset the decline in Iranian oil exports due to sanctions.
This increase in production helped to stabilize global oil markets and prevent prices from spiking. The situation was further mitigated by the fact that many refineries were already stocked with enough crude oil to meet demand for several months.
