Saudi Riyal to Pakistani Rupee Rate Remains Stable Amid Global Volatility

The Saudi Riyal to Pakistani Rupee (SAR to PKR) exchange rate has remained relatively stable in the mid-to-low 74 range this week. The interbank rate stood at approximately 74.15 PKR per SAR on August 10, and between 73.89 and 73.96 PKR on August 15.

The ongoing Iran war and repeated threats to the Strait of Hormuz have driven oil prices higher and disrupted regional shipping. As an oil importer, Pakistan has seen its import bill rise, placing pressure on the Pakistani Rupee.

Despite these pressures, the PKR has demonstrated resilience against the dollar and Saudi Riyal, supported by substantial financial inflows from Saudi Arabia that helped stabilize foreign reserves.
