Saudi Ship Among Two Tankers Attacked in Strait of Hormuz
Two supertankers were attacked by unidentified projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, sparking concerns over maritime navigation and global energy supplies.
The Saudi-operated Sidr was hit while sailing northeast of Khasab, Oman, according to Marisks, a maritime security consultancy. The attack occurred amidst unclear circumstances and escalating regional tensions.
The consulting firm confirmed that another oil tanker, the Senegal Prosperity, operated by Sinocor, was also struck by three projectiles of unknown origin while sailing off the eastern coast of Oman.
