Scrap Metal Prices Post Mixed Movements on Latest Index Update
The latest scrap metal pricing data has been released by IndexBox, showing mixed movements in various grades. As of July 24, 2026, copper, aluminum, and stainless steel prices have changed compared to the prior session. Copper scrap saw modest increases, with #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing advancing by CNY 50 per metric ton each from the previous day.
Aluminum segment saw significant gains, with 6063 Extrusions and Aluminum Ingots jumping by CNY 150 per metric ton each. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers rose by CNY 50 per metric ton each on the Index. E.C. Aluminum Wire increased by CNY 150 per metric ton.
Stainless steel scrap exhibited a mixed pattern, with some grades remaining flat while others edged up or posted gains. Brass and bronze scrap in China recorded no change as of July 23, 2026. Steel scrap prices also remained unchanged.
