Sensex Climbs as Crude Oil Prices Fall Amid Easing Geopolitical Tensions
Stock markets in India rose on Tuesday, driven by lower crude oil prices and easing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The BSE Sensex climbed 152.7 points to 76,988.48, while the NSE Nifty gained 44.95 points to 24,040.90.
Buying activity was particularly strong in IT stocks, with Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, HCL Tech, Hindustan Unilever, and Eternal among the major gainers.
Brent crude oil prices fell 1.44% to $87.09 per barrel as optimism over renewed talks between Iran eased concerns about potential supply disruptions, according to Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
