SFL Expands Fleet with Four New LNG-Capable Vessels
SFL, a shipping vehicle owned by John Fredriksen, is expanding its car and truck carrier fleet with four new LNG-capable vessels. The quartet of 7,000 ceu PCTCs will arrive in 2029.
The guaranteed revenue from five-year charters with a major Asian automaker adds $150m to SFL's order book. There is also potential for an additional $300m if the optional periods are taken up.
This marks the second batch of modern 7,000 ceu tonnage for SFL. The per-vessel price has climbed from roughly $76m to nearly $91m.
