Shehbaz Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, reaffirming his country's support for the kingdom's sovereignty and security.
The attacks targeted civilian and energy facilities in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, injuring 73 people, including women and children, according to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. The Houthi military spokesperson has vowed to announce a broad operation deep into Saudi territory.
The recent flare-up in violence comes as tensions mount between the United States and Iran, with diplomatic negotiations stalling. Brent crude futures rose $1 to $98/BBL after the Saudi energy ministry statement, while US crude futures rose over $2 to $93.65/BBL.
