Shell Closes $16.5 Billion ARC Resources Acquisition
Shell has completed its acquisition of ARC Resources for $13.9 billion in equity value and $2.6 billion in net debt, bringing the total enterprise value to $16.5 billion.
The deal adds approximately 370,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) to Shell's production capacity, mainly from Canada's Montney basin.
Shell CEO Wael Sawan described the acquisition as a 'milestone that accelerates [our] strategy' and a complement to its existing presence in Canada.
