Silver ETFs Face Off: Abrdn's SIVR Edges Out iShares' SLV
The Abrdn Physical Silver Shares ETF (SIVR) and the iShares Silver Trust (SLV) are two prominent physical silver ETFs that offer investors a convenient way to participate in silver price fluctuations.
Both funds directly hold physical silver, with their investment portfolios consisting of 100% physical silver, and their net asset values closely tracking international silver prices.
The primary difference between the two lies in management scale and expense ratios. SLV, launched in 2006, has accumulated an asset under management of up to USD 33.8 billion, with substantial daily trading volume providing excellent entry and exit liquidity for short-term traders.
SIVR, introduced in 2009, manages approximately USD 4.8 billion in assets and has a lower operating cost, making it more attractive to investors with longer holding periods.
