Silver futures declined on Friday due to reduced bets by participants in the market. The silver contracts for September delivery fell by Rs 851, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 2,34,596 per kg. This decline was seen in a business turnover of 3,644 lots.

Analysts stated that a sell-off by participants mainly contributed to the decrease in silver prices. The global market for silver saw a slight increase, with the white metal trading 0.29 per cent up at $64.67 per ounce in New York.
