Silver Plunges Rs 6,000 as Global Markets Weaken Bullion Prices
Silver has taken a steep hit in India's national capital, plummeting by Rs 6,000 to Rs 2,40,000 per kilogram. The All India Sarafa Association reported this decline in silver prices, which followed the downward trend seen in global markets.
The domestic market mirrored the weakness of overseas bullion markets, resulting in gold and silver prices falling sharply. Gold, specifically, dropped by Rs 2,800 to Rs 1,57,000 per 10 grams.
In international markets, spot gold was trading at $4,389.67 per ounce, a 0.43% decrease from the previous day's value. Spot silver experienced a more modest drop, falling marginally to $65.03 per ounce.
