Silver Price Consolidates Amid Dollar Strength and Treasury Yields
Silver is holding onto its recent gains but struggling to attract fresh buying interest as the market consolidates after a period of volatility.
The white metal's price has been supported by a pullback in the U.S. dollar index from multi-month highs, making dollar-denominated metals more attractive to foreign buyers.
However, this upside has been capped by firmer U.S. Treasury yields, which increase the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets like silver.
The Federal Reserve's policy path is also being closely monitored, with recent comments from officials suggesting that interest rates may stay higher for longer to combat inflation.
