Silver Price Hinges on Jackson Hole Fed Speech and Inflation Data
The silver price has been trading near $69.38 after two failed attempts to break $70, and this week's performance will decide its next direction.
Inflation data for July is set to be released on Wednesday, followed by the Jackson Hole Fed speech from Kevin Warsh on Friday. Both events are crucial in determining the future of interest rates and the US dollar.
The US dollar has weakened due to Treasury bond buyback plans, causing gold to reach a three-month high and silver to gain around 18% over the past month. However, the metal remains down about 3.6% in 2026.
Silver's price prediction hinges on its physical demand, which is experiencing a sixth consecutive annual deficit. Additionally, COMEX inventories have fallen below 100 million ounces, offering a floor to the market.
