Silver Price Sees Modest Gains as Inflation Expectations Soar
The price of silver has been increasing over the past year, rising by 61.84% from $40.90 per ounce to its current spot price of $66.19 per ounce as of September 8, 2026.
This represents a gain of just $0.01 or 0.01% compared to the previous close, but it's still up 4.27% since last month when prices were at $63.48 per ounce.
Over the past week, however, silver has experienced a slight decline of 0.81%, down from its price of $66.73 per ounce just seven days ago.
Silver's performance is influenced by various factors including inflation expectations, central bank policy, global economic conditions, and investor demand, as well as currency strength and physical and industrial demand.
