Silver Price Soars on Weak US Dollar and Lower Yields
The price of Silver (XAG/USD) is rising as the US Dollar and Treasury yields decline. The spot rate has increased by 1.25% to around $67.00 in Tuesday's Asian session.
The weakness in the US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the Greenback against a basket of six major currencies, and the drop in 10-year US Treasury yields are providing a supportive environment for Silver prices.
Market participants are positioning ahead of the upcoming August PPI and CPI releases. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) data is scheduled for Friday, while the Producer Price Index (PPI) will be released on Thursday.
