Silver Price Volatility: Can It Break ₹2.75 Lakh Barrier?
The silver market is poised for a pivotal month in September 2026, as it grapples with the uncertainty of a potential Fed rate hike and robust industrial demand. According to recent data, spot prices are hovering near $68/oz, while a 46.3 million ounce annual deficit underpins the market.
The Indian silver price is currently trading at ₹2,35,455 per kg, with MCX Silver Futures priced at ₹2,40,489 per kg. Analysts predict that silver prices will range between ₹2,28,000 and ₹2,45,000 in September 2026.
Despite a 16% gain in August, the market is cautious about the impact of rising Treasury yields and a stronger dollar on investment attractiveness. Citi sees a $75 short-term target for silver, while CoinCodex forecasts an average price of $84.02 in September.
