Silver prices have risen to $66.58 per troy ounce on September 9, according to FXStreet data, marking a 1.23% increase from Tuesday's price of $65.76.

This rise comes despite a year-to-date decrease of 6.34%. The Gold/Silver ratio, which indicates the value of Silver relative to Gold, stood at 66.08 on Wednesday, down slightly from Tuesday's 66.23.

Silver is often used as a safe-haven asset and can be affected by geopolitical instability or recession fears, although it tends to rise with lower interest rates and a weaker US Dollar.
