Silver Prices Hold Steady as National Rate Remains Unchanged
Silver prices in India held steady on Tuesday morning, after a sharp rally the previous day. The national rate for silver remained unchanged at ₹2,600 per 10 grams, or ₹26,000 per 100 grams.
In Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala, however, the price of silver dropped by ₹100 per 10 grams, to ₹2,650, compared to Monday's rate. This marks a partial correction of Monday's sharp ₹149 per 10 grams gain in these cities.
The steady national reading suggests that global prices and the rupee both held roughly steady overnight, while local premiums in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala narrowed. Dealers expect silver's near-term direction to be influenced by fresh cues from the US Federal Reserve and any further escalation in US-Iran tensions.
