Silver Prices Plummet Below Weekly Base Level in India
Silver prices in India dropped ₹100 per 10 grams on Friday, falling below the weekly base level of ₹2,500. The white metal now trades at ₹245 per gram, ₹2,450 per 10 grams, and ₹2,45,000 per kilogram nationwide.
The uniform national pricing seen on Thursday continued for a second straight session, with all ten major cities tracked falling by an identical ₹100 per 10 grams. This means the pricing map remains flat across the country, despite the lower level.
Silver prices largely follow international trends due to thin demand and supply in India. Global spot silver eased through Thursday night and into Friday's opening trade, giving back ground gained a day earlier as overseas buying interest cooled.
