Silver Prices Plummet to Key Support Level Amid Dollar Strength
Silver prices have declined significantly in recent days, erasing much of their gains from earlier this month. The metal's price has fallen to around $63-$64, a support region that could be tested if it breaks below.
A break through this level may lead to further declines, potentially pushing silver back towards the mid-$50s. This downward move is particularly concerning as it follows the breakdown of an uptrend established in late July and a relative strength index trend that was also intact at that time.
The inverse relationship between silver prices and the US dollar has also contributed to the metal's weakness. As the dollar strengthens, it could continue to put pressure on silver, particularly if interest rates and real yields rise alongside inflation expectations.
