Silver Prices Plunge by 1.3% on August 13
Silver prices took a hit on August 13, according to FXStreet data. The XAG/USD rate fell to $64.48 per troy ounce, marking a 1.30% decrease from its value of $65.32 on Wednesday.
This drop comes as part of an overall decline in silver prices this year, with the metal down by 9.29% since the beginning of the year.
The Gold/Silver ratio also showed an increase, standing at 67.88 on Thursday, up from 67.49 on Wednesday. This ratio indicates the number of ounces of Silver needed to equal the value of one ounce of Gold.
