Silver Prices Poised for Further Gains as Demand Remains Strong
Peter Krauth, editor of the Silver Stock Investor newsletter and author of The Great Silver Bull, believes silver prices will continue to rise in the coming months. In a recent interview with host Mike Maharrey on the Money Metals podcast, Krauth argued that strong investment demand, industrial consumption, depleted exchange inventories, and emerging technologies are driving higher silver prices.
Silver has already broken above the $50 barrier, which had held for 45 years until recently, and Krauth views this as a historic change. He expects silver to reach approximately $80 to $85 before the end of 2026, describing his forecast as a more realistic reflection of current market conditions.
Krauth attributes the metal's strength to its hybrid nature, with roughly half of its demand tied to monetary and investment uses and the other half coming from industry. He notes that both sides of the market are currently providing strong support, which is helping to drive prices higher.
