Silver Prices Remain Steady in India Amid Gold Decline

Silver prices in India remained steady on Monday morning after trading resumed following the weekend. The national rate for silver stayed at ₹2,550 per 10 grams and ₹25,500 per 100 grams, unchanged from Friday's close.

The pause in movement comes even as gold continued to decline, marking a rare divergence between the two precious metals. Dealers attributed the lack of change to global spot silver prices remaining largely stable over the weekend.

Market participants expect silver's near-term direction to be influenced by fresh cues from the US Federal Reserve and industrial demand from electronics and solar-panel manufacturers. Despite gold's further decline, analysts tracking the gold-silver ratio noted that metal-specific factors are reasserting themselves after Friday's brief synchronized move.
