Silver prices in India saw a notable increase on August 11, rising ₹10 to ₹255 per gram. This hike translates to an additional cost of ₹100 for a 10-gram purchase and ₹1,000 for 100 grams. For a 1 kg purchase, the jump is ₹10,000.

The price increase is visible across larger quantities as well, with 100 grams now costing ₹25,500 and 10 grams priced at ₹2,550. Among listed cities, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala have the highest rate at ₹2,60,000 per kg, while several other major cities are at ₹2,55,000.

Investors can buy Silver Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), which offer a simple way to invest in silver without handling storage or purity issues. These funds usually hold silver that is about 99.5% pure, making them trustworthy for investors.
