Silver Shines Amidst Gold and Crude Oil Volatility
Gold prices have risen above $4,400 an ounce on Thursday as a softer dollar and lower Treasury yields eased pressure from Fed rate hike bets. This comes ahead of Friday's U.S. nonfarm payrolls report, which will provide fresh policy clues for investors.
The price of crude oil edged lower after three straight sessions of gains due to easing supply concerns weighing on prices. Trump said renewed U.S. attacks on Iran would not last long, and crude flows through the Strait of Hormuz have shown signs of recovery.
Silver is a notable exception among precious metals, with investors looking for opportunities in its price. The Axis Securities Ltd recommendation for silver is to buy above 233,500, with a stop-loss below 229,500 and targets of 239,000 and 243,000.
