Silver Soars ₹1,000 Per 10 Grams in India Amid Global Bullion Market Gains
Silver prices in India surged sharply on Thursday, climbing ₹1,000 per 10 grams as the metal tracked firm global bullion markets. According to current rates, silver stands at ₹2,550 per 10 grams, ₹25,500 per 100 grams, and ₹2,55,000 per kilogram. This represents a gain of ₹100 per 10 grams, ₹1,000 per 100 grams, and ₹10,000 per kilogram from Wednesday's national rate.
The rise marks one of the sharper single-day moves silver has recorded in India this month, with Thursday's gain standing at just over 4% on a percentage basis. This increase is largely attributed to firmer global prices and a softer rupee working in tandem.
Market participants noted that silver tends to be more volatile than gold, especially when it comes to industrial demand expectations. Silver's widespread use in electronics, solar panels, and other manufacturing applications adds an extra layer of price sensitivity compared with gold.
