Silver Soars as Maguire Predicts Blue Sky Short Squeeze Above $100
Financial markets are experiencing significant shifts as Andrew Maguire claims that silver has opened up a 'blue sky' short squeeze above $100, potentially reaching the $140 range. The shift is attributed to China's official buy of almost 20 tons in July, marking the twenty-first consecutive month of such purchases.
The market behavior is changing, with price discovery moving towards a higher-quality physically anchored regime, according to Maguire. He notes that China has accumulated unreported monetary gold reserves of around 60,000 tons, dwarfing official estimates.
The introduction of a new dollar gold futures contract in three weeks will enable physical delivery, allowing gold to be priced off real bars rather than London cash settlement. This change reflects Xi's efforts to build infrastructure for pricing gold accurately.
