Silver Surges Above $58 as Investors Rekindle Interest
Silver prices have been on the rise, reaching $58.674 per troy ounce after gaining 1.20% in the latest trading session. This increase is largely due to renewed buying interest from investors, who are attracted to silver's dual role as both a precious metal and an important industrial commodity.
The metal has shown strong short-term momentum, with a gain of $0.694 during the session. Over the past week, silver has increased by 4.35%, while over the past month it has gained 0.98%. However, despite this recent growth, silver remains under pressure on a year-to-date basis, down 17.43%.
Despite its yearly decline, silver's price rise is significant when compared to the same period last year. The metal has increased by 54.15%, showing that demand for silver remains strong over a longer timeframe.
