Silver Surges as Gold-Silver Ratio Hits Historical Ceiling Ahead of Fed Decision
Silver's price jumped by 2.26% on Monday to $59.43 an ounce, its sharpest single-session move in weeks.
The surge came as a weekend pause in US-Iran hostilities sent Brent crude tumbling and eased inflation pressure that had been pinning bullion near multi-month lows.
The gold-silver ratio now sits at roughly 69:1, near the ceiling of its 50-year historical range, and a Fed decision is expected on Wednesday afternoon.
