Singapore Slams Attacks on Saudi Energy Targets
Singapore has condemned recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, including energy infrastructure and commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) made this statement on July 27, urging all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could further escalate tensions.
This comes after Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis attacked Saudi oil installations at two Red Sea ports and Saudi-backed forces bombed the Houthi positions.
The attacks have led to a surge in global oil prices, with Brent crude spiking above US$100 a barrel for the first time since May.
