Sinopec Posts Solid H1 Results Amid Global Energy Turmoil
The China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), listed on the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges, has reported solid operating results for the first half of 2026.
According to the company's interim results, total revenue reached RMB 1.44 trillion, a 2% year-on-year increase. Profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 26.567 billion, up by 12% year-on-year, with basic earnings per share at RMB 0.220.
The refining segment processed 113 million tonnes of crude oil and produced 69.16 million tonnes of refined oil products, with an operating profit of RMB 17.0 billion, a 381.5% increase from the same period last year.
Oil and gas output reached approximately 263 million barrels of oil equivalent, up by 0.3% year-on-year. Natural gas production was 741.6 billion cubic feet, an increase of 0.7% year-on-year.
